So I have had some good feedback from the exhibition so far. This is what someone messaged me

"Hi Jonny. I viewed your breathtaking exhibition today, it was full of wonderment and curated with such powerful and vivid imagery. You intensely observed the subjects inner being, those characters resonated in my memory long after leaving the exhibition. Your lens captured the moment when the personalities were at their most relaxed in their own inner contemplations and thoughts so revealing their true real life. The images suggested the characters were there for you to capture the intensity and that very private fleeting moment in time that cannot be staged. The haunting double exposure in some pictures used as a stylistic device only gave the images more depth of meaning which focused the viewer to linger on the picture searching for a personal interpretation. It was was a splendid exhibition of craft skills, composition and pure artistry and understanding full of powerful sensitivities and sensibilities. Above all I feel it showed a completely confident creative professional working at the highest level. Your use of lighting really illuminated the subjects bringing out a surreal quality that I feel was your trademark in expressing a fascinating narrative, a real ungodly exposure and insight to their inner being. The painterly quality you applied to the large canvasses was rather haunting each telling their own private narrative, they were disturbing and yet peaceful as the sitters appeared at ease in your company, you pulled the essence out without it looking staged or fabricated. Your Post Card selection was a very imaginative way of exhibiting so much more to your show. The notion that a Post Card brings the viewer to a single personal interpretation of a scene with clarity was an interesting device. This was an imaginative way to further portray your work. You have such a strong and intense portfolio of work you should get a London or Manchester show. I have obviously seen hundreds of photography exhibitions around the world and honestly as a group of work yours has to be one of the finest. It was so powerful and so insightful as a body of work you must be very proud of it. As Picasso said “As an artist you have to make the invisible visible” well you certainly managed that Jonny. Right I am getting back to that Kung Fu movie now to impress you the following week with some more clumsy moves. Oh ya a famous advertising photographs was quoted as saying “You Dont Take a Picture… You Make a picture” he had that printed on his T-Shirt. Well you make a great picture Jonny. All the best Nick Beaumont".

I would like to get some of this work into a proper gallery. Especially. The Twilight (The Spirit Of Sophie) photographs. If there is anyone out there that has any contacts in that department, please let me know.
